Your First Visit at Reed Orthodontics!

We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. After you schedule your free consultation with Dr. Reed, you will receive our Welcome packet in the mail. Complete the medical history form and bring any insurance cards or information with you to your visit.

Your first appointment includes a review of any relevant dental and medical history, a clinical examination and a discussion regarding the clinical findings, and suggested treatment options. A digital panoramic x-ray will be taken to assist with the diagnosis.

During the initial exam for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover orthodontic care. We encourage you to ask questions as well.

What kind of orthodontic care is best for me?

Is orthodontic care needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?

What treatment method will be used to correct the problem?

Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?

How long is my orthodontic care estimated to take?

How much will it cost?

Is financing available?

If the time for orthodontic treatment is not right, the we will see you for periodic recalls. These recall appointments are done at no charge and will allow careful monitoring of growth and development.

After your initial evaluation you will leave with a written diagnosis of the care necessary and a plan of how your personal care will take place. You will also have a clear understanding of your financial options and a date of when you can start your orthodontic care.
